About artist

Katrin Auner b. 1993 in Estonia.She is a contemporary artist living and working in Fredrikstad, Norway . Katrin's passion for art and creativity has grown as a strong part of her identity ever since she was young. In middle school, her art teacher made a great impression on her and she spon became interested in realistic art. In elementary school and high school, she was very successful in art competitions for children and youths. Throughout her life, she has always been expressing her thoughts through drawing and painting. Her greatest source of inspiration is nature, landscapes as well as  human and animal depictions, which she often illustrates in her pieces. Her ambition, is to achieve balance between color, luminosity and mathematical distance but also to break boundaries and create that beautiful contrast between harmony and chaos. Katrin also finds inspiration in semi-abstract technique and different kind of materials and textures.

For Katrin, the most profound aspect of her art lies in leaving a lingering thought for her audience, a subtle invitation for contemplation long after the work has been seen. I feel most fulfilled as an artist when viewers discover a personal connection within my work, fining a piece of themselves reflected in my paintings. For me, each of my painting serves as a vivid reminder of the moment it was conceived, capturing the essence of the time and emotions that shaped its creation.
